ROOS-LAIS bearings: high-quality products powering electricity generationUK-based ROOS-LAIS Bearings Partners with Jinneng Holding Sunshine Power Generation; High-Quality Products Empower Power Generation Recently, the UK-based premium bearing brand ROOS-LAIS has successfully entered into a partnership with Jinneng Holding Shanxi Sunshine Power Generation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinneng Holding Sunshine Power Generation”) to supply high-quality bearing products and supporting services for the plant’s critical equipment. This collaboration underwent rigorous scrutiny throughout the entire process, including on-site inspections, qualification verification and inventory checks, and has now been successfully implemented, injecting new momentum into the safe and stable operation of the power plant. Jinneng Holding Sunshine Power Generation is a core enterprise within Jinneng Holding’s power sector. Formerly known as the Shanxi Yangquan No. 2 Power Plant, it was a key project under the national ‘Eighth Five-Year Plan’. With a total installed capacity of 1.28 million kilowatts, it is Shanxi Province’s first million-kilowatt-class thermal power plant to have completed desulphurisation upgrades on all its units. Having long shouldered the critical responsibility of ensuring regional energy security, the plant imposes stringent requirements on the quality and reliability of its core equipment components.
During the collaboration and handover phase, Jineng Holding Sunshine Power attached great importance to the process, organising a professional acceptance team comprising specialist engineers in machinery maintenance, boiler auxiliary systems and steam turbines to oversee the bearing inspection and verification work throughout. At the acceptance site, the technical team strictly adhered to the power industry’s equipment acceptance standards, conducting item-by-item inspections of the ROOS-LAIS bearings’ core indicators, including dimensional accuracy, material properties and sealing processes. Particular emphasis was placed on verifying the bearings’ load-bearing capacity, wear resistance and compatibility to ensure the products meet the complex operational requirements of the power plant, characterised by high temperatures, heavy loads and continuous operation.
During the qualification verification phase, the acceptance team conducted a comprehensive and meticulous review of relevant documentation, including the UK-based ROOS-LAIS bearings’ production qualifications, international certification documents, product test reports and certificates of origin. They rigorously verified the brand’s manufacturing capabilities, technical R&D capacity and product quality control systems. The verification results confirmed that ROOS-LAIS bearings possess all necessary qualifications and comply with international standards for high-end industrial bearings, demonstrating their reliability.
Following the completion of on-site testing and qualification verification, staff from both parties jointly carried out the product inventory and warehousing process. In accordance with the procurement list, the model, specifications and quantity of the bearings were cross-checked one by one, whilst the integrity of the product packaging and the completeness of accessories were carefully inspected. Detailed records were maintained throughout the process, with standardised procedures ensuring the products were stored in perfect condition and that stock records matched physical inventory, thereby laying a solid foundation for subsequent equipment installation and operational maintenance.
As an internationally renowned premium bearing brand, UK-based ROOS-LAIS has specialised in the industrial bearing sector for many years. Leveraging high-precision manufacturing processes, high-strength wear-resistant materials and advanced sealing technology, its products offer advantages such as high stability, exceptional durability and low failure rates. Widely used in critical sectors including power generation, energy and heavy industry, they effectively meet the operational requirements of various large-scale equipment, helping enterprises reduce operational and maintenance costs whilst enhancing operational efficiency. This successful collaboration with Jinneng Holding Sunshine Power represents a significant step for ROOS-LAIS Bearings in deepening its presence within the Chinese power market, and marks a powerful partnership between the two parties based on mutual recognition of quality and a commitment to mutual benefit. Moving forward, ROOS-LAIS will continue to support Jinneng Holding Sunshine Power in enhancing its equipment operation and maintenance standards through high-quality products and professional services, ensuring the safe, efficient and stable operation of the units, and jointly contributing to the high-quality development of the energy sector. |
